What are your thoughts on #Twitter changing ownership? I'll prob still use it. I use many social networks, so worst case scenario if Twitter starts to suck I might give up on it. Either way, my life isn't affected much by a change in ownership. Twitter might actually get better

I’ll be leaving! Probably should have left a while ago, but IMHO Elon has amplified the obnoxiousness of the place. A US Federal lawsuit filed against Twitter on behalf of two minors who were allegedly trafficked on their site. The suit claims that illegal images of the minors were posted and shared on Twitter’s platform. The videos of both plaintiffs reportedly accumulated 167,000 views before law enforcement intervened and Twitter took the video down. The suit goes on to allege that when initial complaints were made to Twitter, instead of removing the exploitative videos, it did nothing, even reporting back to the family of one of the minors that the video in question did not in fact violate any of their policies.

I became shadow banned in 2020 months after creating my first account so I quit as it was full of brainwashed people for the most part anyway, but now its owned by controlled opposition. So, now what you'll have is a bunch of people leaving there (fake liberals/American "liberals") and all the Republicans will remain (even though Elon clearly has expressed globalist ideologies countless time.)

It'd be better if we could find a platform that wasn't so divisive and could reach some kind of common ground. Be nice to get rid of all the brainwashed and find a platform where people who can think for themselves can go to discuss things rather than people who follow one side or the other.

Don't mind me if this doesn't resonate with you as I know you tend to support the American "liberal" agenda; just throwing it out there for any free thinkers who happen across this comment.

i dont think i know enough about US culture and politics to cast a stone at repubs or demmo's @thetruthmatters@diaspora.nerv.tech. it does seem that if half (or more) of the country prefer one Party, maybe they have valid concerns, as do the other not-quite-half...not everyone walks around with a buffalo head as a hat.

i too dont like being forced to conform to an ideology - i believe there is a middle ground which is only to be found through the sharing of thoughts and knowledge.
i do lean lefty, as does most of the island - we've just ditched our utter nutter who made himself Minister for everything and cost us trillions of ozbucks - but i dont mistake politics for football (up,the mighty rabbitohs! (South Sydney) ). i have little brand loyalty left when it comes to politics. it's said that in oz we dont vote for a Party, we vote to keep the worst out. i think that's true.

plus, it's twitter ffs XD some rich bugger's business. everything we do supports some millionaire - in this case, if we dont like it, we are not forced to use it. easypeasy.
